HOW DO YOU KNOW WHEN IT'S TIME TO SEEK THERAPY?
The first sign for some may be “not feeling” like your normal self, especially if the feelings become more persistent. For others, it may be due to a sudden or recent change in your life/lifestyle where adjustment may be necessary. If you or someone you love is feeling overwhelmed, lethargic, low mood, anger, anxiety, fear, resentment, socially withdrawn, please consider reaching out to a therapist today for help.
WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT IN THE FIRST SESSION?
This is considered your intake session. You will meet with your therapist to discuss the information you provided on the mental health questionnaire(s). The therapist will conduct a clinical interview to gather information about your reason for seeking therapy and collaborate with you to make the appropriate goals. Additionally, the therapist will inform you of the confidentiality agreement and answer any questions you may have.
WHAT IS THE CANCELLATION POLICY?
Life happens and we all experience moments when we cannot keep prior commitments. If you are experiencing an emergency, please let us know as soon as possible so that you do not incur a cancellation fee of $50. If you need to cancel for a non-emergency situation, please let us know 24 hours prior to your appointment so that we may offer someone else the opportunity to be seen or make appropriate adjustments. Habitual late cancellations and no shows will result in termination of services.
DO YOU PROVIDE CLINICAL SUPERVISION?
Yes, Dr. Jess provides clinical supervision for LPCs and LCPCs. Please contact her directly for costs and dates at drjess@wisecounsel4mentalhealth.com.
